Twelfth Night, or What you Will

Phyllis' Song
(to the tune of "All for the Best" from Godspell)

You may feel sad,
that we're finished this play
But it's not so bad
'least that's what I say.
We are all walking, gawking, talking like Elizabethans
Peace to you, be gone
How dust thou and so on
I will be with you anon.

When I try to sleep, I dream 16th century
Awaken my Paul, and say "I love thee"
But when its done we'll be back to normal and talking like the rest.
Yes, it's all for the best.

1st Verse
But now Marlene is still sewing
Olivia's glowing
Imagination's blowing Malvolio

Viola has one breast
Pickled herrings won't digest
Jody looks best with nose hairs.

There's lovely chemistry
With Kate and Terry
But Toby and me just have lust.

I don't trust the priest - He's been diddlin' young boys.

Paul Jones is certain he's "okay"
Antonio is gay
Judy's had her day with the bugs.

Ray did toss the wench
Horashio's the bench
There's a mighty stench from the clothes rack

We're all talking crazy
It's a Shakespearean phasey
You guessed it's all for the best.

2nd Verse
Toby's got a lopsided belly
Pat's knees are sandy
I'm sure Toby can pee in a sink a pace.

Kristen runs in whirls
I'm losing my curls
Kevin just might hurl on the stage.

Jenny's cucumber is big
Kate's got a "douche-me" wig
Malvolio's a prig and a gull

Her C's and her U's yes her N's and her T's

What if the dagger does stab?
Or a sword does jab?
How does Toby grab under a bum roll?

So many bugs each night
I'm sure that they won't bite
If the cold tonight will freeze feet.

We're all Shakespearean thinking
Our costumes are stinking
Oh yes, it's all for the:
- What kind of a name is Fest - e?
Yes it's all for the:
- Judy Dickens needs a rest.
Yes it's all for the:
- Kate wants to grow back her chest.
Yes, it's all for the best.
