ALBURGER, Marjorie

In memory of a nurse, wife, mother, grandmother, singer, thespian and avid Savoyard, as well as a Boston Red Sox fan.

She is sadly missed, but still lives in the memories of her family, and friends in Deep River, Pembroke, Ottawa, and elsewhere.

Is life a boon? If so,

Registered Nurse - Retired Member; Former Pembroke Musical Society and the Pembroke Little Theatre (Streetlight Theatre Company) Deep River Players Deep River Musical Society Deep River Choral Group Deep River Community Church Choir Pembroke Community Choir Member; International Gilbert and Sullivan Society Savoynet Group Suddenly at Deep River on Tuesday, November 3, 2009.

Marjorie Alburger (Nee: Polley) age 72 years. Beloved wife of Thomas P. Alburger of Deep River. Daughter of the late John and Jessie Polley (Nee: Finlayson) and daughter-in-law of Anna and the late Thomas W. Alburger. Loving mother of David Alburger and his partner Marnie Larocque of Ottawa, Robert Alburger of Arnprior and his friend Jane Flores, John Alburger and his wife Betty Wolowicz of Toronto and James Alburger of Cornwall. Cherished grandmother of Matthew and Andrew Alburger. Dear sister of Barbara Murnane and her late husband Jack of Maine, and Marcia Vartebedian of Florida and her late husband Leo. Also survived by a sister-in-law Roberta Whitehead (Polley) of New Hampshire and a brother-in-law David Campbell of Maine.

Predeceased by 1 brother Donald Polley and 2 sisters Elinor Gleason and Jean Campbell. Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral Service to be conducted in the Deep River Community Church on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment in the Deep River Community Cemetery.

In memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ottawa Hospital Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.
