Meet the Playwrights!

Meet the two amazing women who have brought us Clothes Line. Their words bring to life a neighbourhood where everyone seems to have a secret.

Sarah Adams is a graduate of the Performance program at Humber College. She has performed in theatres and Fringe Festivals across central Ontario and in 2013, performed her one-woman show, ME/WE at the Bowery Poetry Club in New York City. When not writing for the stage or performing in it, Sarah can be found working as a Resource teacher in the Cree community of Waskaganish, Quebec.

Lori Gilbert was first introduced to the theatre in her home town of Parrsboro NS where she helped out with props for the very first production of the Ship’s Company Theatre in 1984. While living in Ottawa she helped out with front of house and back stage for various theatre companies. In 2009 she took on costumes and props for a production of Yukon Gold in Perth ON. Shortly after moving to Deep River Lori became involved with the Deep River Players doing costumes for both Habit of Murder in 2017 and Anything Goes in 2018. This is Lori’s first time in the directors chair and Clothes Line is her first written script to be on stage.
