Following a successful debut in 2007, and repeated offences in 2008 and 2009, the Deep River Players presented the Fourth Annual "Yellow Shoe Amateur Skit Night" at the Bear's Den in Deep River, Ontario on April 10th, 2010, with all proceeds (over $500) again going to the local Food Bank.
Teams of 3-6 were provided with a couple of props, a newspaper headline, and a movie quote. Then, they were given 48 hours to prepare and rehearse a skit.
The show was again hosted by Scott Florence, of Ottawa's "Company of Fools", and as in previous years features celebrity judges. This year we performed under the watchful eye of Deep River Mayor Anne Aiken, and AECL Vice-President Bill Pilkington.
