Following a successful debut in 2007, and a repeat in 2008, the Deep River Players presented the Third Annual "Yellow Shoe Amateur Skit Night" at the Bear's Den in Deep River, Ontario on March 7th, 2009, with all proceeds (about $800 this year) again going to the local Food Bank.
Four teams were provided with a couple of props, a newspaper headline, and a movie quote. Then, they were given 48 hours to prepare and rehearse a skit.
The show was hosted by Scott Florence, of Ottawa's "Company of Fools", and as in previous years featured celebrity judges.
